How to: Add formatting to a text file using AutoFormat.
Solution:
Select the 'Format' menu and select 'AutoFormat...'.
1) Open a text file.
NOTE: Text files usually end in a .TXT extension.
2) Select the 'Format' menu and select 'AutoFormat...'. (The 'AutoFormat' dialog box appears.)
3) (Optional) Click 'Options...' to specify some formatting options.
4) Click 'OK' to begin formatting. (Another 'AutoFormat' dialog box appears.)
5) Do one of the following:
a) To accept all changes, click 'Accept'.
b) To reject all changes, click 'Reject All'.
c) To accept or reject changes individually:
1] Click 'Review Changes...'. (The 'Review AutoFormat Changes' dialog box appears.)
2] Click either the right or left arrow 'Find's to move forward or backward through the changes.
3] Do one of the following:
a] To reject the specific style format and return the style to its original format, click 'Reject'.
b] To accept the specific style format, simply move to the next style format to check.
4] Click 'Close'. (The 'AutoFormat' dialog box reappears.)
d) To select a different set of styles:
1] Click 'Style Gallery...'. (The 'Style Gallery' dialog box appears.)
2] Select the style template to be used from the 'Template' scroll-down list box. (A preview of the selected style template appears in the 'Preview of' box.)
3] Click 'OK'.
6) Click 'Accept'.
